Contract of Services provided by Maternity Nurse

Please find below a sample contract that can be used as a basic agreement between clients and their maternity nurse.

It is hereby as follows:

1. The Maternity Nurse’s job title is that of a Maternity Nurse.
2. The Client agrees to employ the Maternity Nurse for ______ weeks from _______ at a salary of £_______ gross per week.
3. The Client agrees to pay a retainer of half the agreed salary from the above start date until commencement of the position if the baby is late.
4. The Client agrees to pay overtime for any days off that are worked at a pro rata fee of £______ per day.
5. The salary is to be paid in pound sterling on a weekly basis.
6. The Client shall provide free board, accommodation and travel for the Maternity Nurse.
7. Should the booking be overseas then the Client should understand that they are responsible for the cost of a return flight and travel/medical insurance.
8. Hours of duty shall be 24 hours a day 6 days a week.
9. The Maternity Nurse shall be given 1 full day of 24 hours off per week.
10. The Maternity Nurse shall be responsible for the care of the new-born baby for the stated period.
11. Should the booking be cancelled, or finish prior to date agreed above, then the Maternity Nurse shall be paid one week's salary, as loss of expected earnings.
